The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Government Polytechnic Atraulia Azamgarh offers Diploma programme at Diploma level since 2021 to impart quality education and to produce innovative and globally competent technocrats having sound knowledge in the fields of Computer hardware and software. The department constitutes of highly qualified eminent & young faculty members with a wide range of domain knowledge and industry exposure. Mr.Subodh Kant Singh , Head of the Department, did his B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, M.Tech in CSE and pursuing Ph.D in the area of Machine Learning. He has 12 years experience of teaching under diploma ,graduate and post graduate students.. He has organized and attended various workshops ,seminars and Publish Many Research Paper National and International Journal.

He has taken Various Workshop for Latest Technologies for emerging trends at Varios Govt and Private Engineering College

The well qualified faculty members hold diploma from premier institutions and are always ready to help and guide students out of the way. Some of the major research areas which the faculty members and students working on are Computer Networks, Database Systems, Multimedia, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Computer Architecture, Information System – Security and Data Mining. The department provides state of the art computing facilities to the students with wi-fi campus and high Internet access speed. There are seven computer labs with more than 100 /i3/i7 machines. 5 LCD projectors, departmental library; in-house networking and maintenance are other salient features of the department. It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest and has academic alliances with IBB, Robogenious ,SYNTEL and HCL etc.

The department focuses on every student to bring best out of him/her. Students are taught professional ethics and are shaped into true professional, and are getting placement by companies like HCL Technologies Ltd., Birlasoft, Infosys, TCS, L&T, Caritor India etc.

The department organizes various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Most common co-curricular activities include programming contest and on line quiz, which has become regular by this time. The Technical Club comprising teachers and students organizes various competitions that uphold its objectives.
